PRODUCT PHOTOGRAPHY

STUDIO AND ON-LOCATION

While working for NZ Rockshop as their in-house Graphic Designer, I was in charge of photographing their large catalogue of products to be used in both publications and on their website. Below are some examples of both studio shoots and on-location shoots.

IN THE STUDIO

Initially when I started working for NZ Rockshop they did not have anything setup for any kind of photography for products. As they were interested in setting up a space in their warehouse to accommodate for this, I was put in charge of organising the build of an infinity wall and advising them about all the photography gear and lighting equipment they needed to set-up a basic photography studio for me to use.

They were blown away with what I was able to organise on a tight budget and especially with the results I was able achieve with the photography of the products they offer. This went on to create excellent opportunities to shoot unique and custom gear where the manufactures photos were non-existent or limited.

ON-LOCATION

As part of Rockshop’s product photography needs, I was often required to shoot products outside the studio. These shoots included the Gear Magazine centrefold shots. These were achieved by stitching several photos together into a panorama to be spread across four foldout pages.

Other than on-location product photography, I was occasionally required to photograph artists that were Rockshop endorsees.
