LIVE SHOWS & PRODUCT WORKSHOPS

While working for NZ Rockshop as their in-house Graphic Designer, I was often asked to be the photographer for product workshops they hosted and other live events.

LIVE SHOWS

I was lucky enough to be invited along to some pretty exciting live events while working for NZ Rockshops. The examples shown are shots from my favourite live shows I was documenting.

We were present at Lorde's sound check to get some live shots of Rockshop endorsee Ben Barter (The Drummer for Lorde). This was a really fun shoot and it was interesting to see how the band prepares for a live concert.

Also among the examples are shots from Nathan Haines 'Vermillion Skies' Album launch. Nathan Haines is a New Zealand jazz and adult contemporary saxophonist. This was a fantastic show with a very talented and passionate band, making it easy to capture some great moments.

PRODUCT WORKSHOPS

In collaboration with NZ Rockshop's long list of suppliers, they often host live product workshop and demos for new products. These are held at Backbeat Bar, which is a venue owned and operated by NZ Rockshop and used for such events. I was in charge of filming and photographing these events.

These were very popular and informative events, which usually included live performances to show off new products, give-aways for attendees and an in-depth look into the products. I was also in charge of promoting these events, which included creating registration pages and website banners Rockshop's website and social media and designing poster's and fliers for in-stores.
